Louis Theroux

Louis Theroux is a filmmaker, author, broadcaster and journalist.

The famously awkward documentary-maker earned a first-class degree from the University of Oxford.

His documentaries have covered strange subjects, often focusing on unusual and surreal topics, and he has gained numerous awards for his films.

Prince Charles

Graduating in 1970 from Cambridge with a 2:2, the Prince of Wales holds a degree in Archaeology, Anthropology and History, and was the first-ever royal to gain such a qualification.

Prince Charles spends a lot of his time trying to help those who are less fortunate, as well as being a keen supporter of environmental issues.

He spends a lot of time working with charitable organisations, including the youth charity he founded himself: the Prince’s Trust

Diane Abbott MP

The first BAME (Black, Asian and minority ethnic) woman to hold a seat in the House of Commons, Diane Abbott, studied History at Cambridge.

Before becoming an MP for Labour – which she has been for over 30 years – Abbott worked for the civil service and the media.

More recently she has founded London Schools and the Black Child initiative, which aims to improve the achievement levels of black children in education.

President George W. Bush

George W. Bush was America's 43rd president, and served from 2001 to 2009. He graduated from Yale University with a degree in History in 1968. He worked in the Texas oil industry and was the owner of a baseball team before he became a governor. In 2000, he ran for President and his time as President was shaped by the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Sacha Baron Cohen

Sacha Baron Cohen studied History at Cambridge University. He is now an actor, comedian and writer. He has received several Emmy nominations, an Oscar nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay, a BAFTA award, and a Golden Globe in 2006 for Best Actor.

Jonathan Ross

Jonathan Ross is a comedian, talk show host, game show host, film critic, radio DJ... the list goes on! He attended the School of Slavonic and East European Studies in London and gained a degree in Modern European History, before moving on to be a researcher on Channel Four in the 1980s. Since then, Jonathan Ross has become a household name and has won many awards.

J.K. Rowling is a best-selling author who is most famous for giving us the gift of Harry Potter. But have you ever wondered about all the Latin (spell names) that feature in her books? The Duchess of Cambridge

Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge, studied the History of Art at St Andrews University in Scotland. Catherine met her husband Prince William whilst they were both studying at University, and has put her degree to good use since being a member of the Royal Family. She is currently involved with The Art Room, which is a charity that enables her to visit art classrooms throughout the country, working with children experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties to express themselves through art.
